Very Fine Panama Hats

A Fine Panama hat is a great entry level hat into the world of panamas. The Fedora is the classic look and these handmade hats, while the most economical we sell are still great quality and very well finished. This hat is great for walks on the beach, gardening work and other outdoor activities. It will however still look stylish at the races or at an upmarket function.

Authentic handmade and hand woven Panama hats are from Ecuador and made from Toquilla straw using traditional weaving and hat making techniques. These fantastic hats are the epitomy of style and also a hugely practical hat for the Australian sun. Being completely handmade all hats will vary slightly in areas such as finish, brim width and even colour, as the toquilla straw used can vary slightly.  

All our Panama Hats come with an internal lining band sown in and a traditional black hat band on the outside.

Average brim width: 55-70 mm

Average Hat weight: 60 - 75 g.

Now for choosing your size, if you get it wrong, we happily exchange hats that are returned in as "Brand New Condition".

Hat Sizing

If you are not sure of your hat size, we recommend you measure your head using a tape measure.

Use a tape measure and measure around the widest part of the head, slightly above the ears. If your measurement is between sizes, use the larger size. Our hats are in metric sizing from 57 – 62 cm
